ADVANCED TEMS (A-TEMS)
The Advanced Tactical Emergency Medical Support (A-TEMS) course is designed for civilians providing medical support to tactical teams of U.S. Law Enforcement agencies. This course, based on the OEMS course offered to the U.S. Military, and live tissue traumatic injuries. This unique course is the only one of its kind in the United States for civilians, and is taught by respected experts in their field.
 
BASIC SWAT SCHOOL FOR TEMS MEDICS
This course is the same high-intensity SWAT certification course that all operators take, but it is offered exclusively to tactical medics.  This is NOT a medical course.  All medics will benefit from this comprehensive introduction to tactical skills. Students will be introduced to basic SWAT topics, tactics and techniques including; team organization and structure, weapons systems and safety, resolution of barricaded suspect situations, covert individual and team movement, searches and room clearing, chemical agents, less-lethal options, warrant service, multiple field training exercises, and much more.
 
TACTICAL EMERGENCY MEDICAL SUPPORT (TEMS)
TMI’s Tactical Emergency Medical Support (TEMS) course is designed for civilians providing medical support to tactical teams of U.S. Law Enforcement agencies. This 55+ hour course provides the finest didactic and practical application in the art and skill of providing emergency medical care and rescue in the tactical environment.
 
TEMS REFRESHER
This unique course is designed for working TEMS Medics who previously had formal training in TEMS.  This course focuses on current topics and the latest advances in the field, as well improving techniques and hands-on skills.  This “update” includes many lessons learned from after action reports from both recent and ongoing military conflicts, as well as civilian SWAT incidents.
 
TACTICAL FITNESS AND CONDITIONING
The TFAC course provides current information to individuals so that they may properly design, implement, and instruct law enforcement officers in fitness training and metabolic conditioning as it relates to operational fitness. Attendees will learn various methods to develop “Operational Fitness”. This is a 2 or 3 day course that includes both lectures and hands-on techniques. Topics include: Basic Exercise Physiology, Strength Training Principles, Speed Development, Agility Training, Conditioning, Program Design, Nutrition, Assessment, Sports Injuries, Speed, Agility, Plyometrics, Circuit Training, Olympic lifts, and working with implements.
 
TEMS CONCEPTS FOR EMS MEDICAL DIRECTORS
This course is designed for physicians who provide medical control or supervision to personnel operating with tactical law enforcement teams.  This course details the rationale and basis for modified standards and the need for advanced scope of practice in the tactical environment.  The rules and regulations for the traditional EMS system vs. TEMS is discussed.
 
ACTIVE SHOOTER MEDICAL RESPONSE
Immediate deployment, rapid intervention techniques, and tactics are included in this course which is designed for medics who may respond to an active shooter.  Topics to be covered include an historical overview of active shooter situations including school shootings, and immediate deployment/rapid intervention tactics.  Specific medical
techniques are emphasized, including preplanning, medical threat assessment, staging, personal protective equipment, accompanying law enforcement, safe search, and active shooter medical protocols.
 
K-9 DOWN
Tactical Medics International is pleased to offer an introductory “K-9 Down” course designed specifically for law enforcement agencies. This course is intended primarily for the dog handler and the agency medic, and is intended to prepare both medic and handler for the treatment and handling of injured dogs.
 
COMBAT LIFE SAVER (CLS)
The combat life saver is a bridge between the self-aid/buddy-aid training given all soldiers during basic training and the medical training given to the combat medic.  The CLS is a non-medical soldier who provides lifesaving measures and assists the combat medic as directed.  This course follows the official curriculum of the U.S. Army.
 
TACTICAL COMBAT CAUALTY CARE (TCCC)
TMI offers the 3-day course in Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC).  TMI uses the most current USSOCOM-Approved curriculum for Tactical Combat Casualty Care, including the most recent changes (July 2008).  This 3-day course is designed for medics and non-medic operators.
 
WARRIOR ATHLETE STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING (WASC)
When developing a comprehensive strength and conditioning program, operators must consider the physical demands of operational related activities.  The WASC course is provides individuals with information to properly design, implement, and instruct military personnel in weight training and operational fitness. This is a 3 day course that includes both lectures and hands-on techniques specific to military tasks. Topics include: Basic Exercise Physiology, Strength Training Principles, Speed Development, Agility Training, Conditioning, Program Design, Nutrition, Assessment, Sports Injuries, Speed, Agility, Plyometrics, Circuit Training, Olympic lifts, and working with implements.
